Pet Of The Month
HI! MY NAME IS TROY!
Helen’s face may have launched 1,000 ships, but we have more realistic expectations for Troy. This two-year-old Hound mix was rushed to the Houston SPCA on the 24-hour injured animal rescue ambulance back in January. He had a terrible wound to his ear that had become badly infected and so the veterinary staff elected to surgically remove the outer ear. But guess what, he still hears just fine! Troy is an energetic young dog and he just adores going for long walks with the Houston SPCA volunteers. Though he is as strong as a warrior he walks very well on a harness. Troy is heartworm positive but, thanks to the Houston SPCA’s partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, the cost of his treatment is covered. He’s a happy-go-lucky boy who just wants someone to dote on him!
